Clouds Heading

Clouds heading east over
A eucalyptus tree on what
Was once an inland sea,
Now my valley, assume
Formation off frothing
Crests of wind-whipped
Waves, west and overhead.
The rest of their motion
Obeys the high timeless
Tide of a revenant ocean.

    1. Tom, I begin to suspect Norma is a choreographer of clouds.

  4. All clouds have a story to tell and there are hosts of stories in that beautiful collection. If you look long enough there are lots of different characters just waiting to tell their tale. I imagine there are a number of mariners who have spent their time on various oceans.
