Back Door Lights
We are results,
Stellar atoms strayed
Escaping , cooled --
Accidental lives
Scattered on Earth--
Surely worth draping
Light around doors for
And hoping over our
Faults where odd stars
Gone wrong gather night
Into planets and people.
We play in little lights,
Ignite our notes in song.
Very nice - by day and by night!
ReplyDeleteThanks, O Jenny. We appreciate it until cold drives us indoors.
DeleteThat bench looks like a nice place to sit and watch evening fall.
ReplyDeleteWe bring cushions out to keep the cast iron from tattooing us but, yes, it is a nice sitting place.
DeleteYou have such a pretty and sparkling patio, Geo. I picture you and Norma Norma sitting out there enjoying all the lovely lights that surround you.
ReplyDeleteLights are Norma's doing. I furnished only the conduits and outlets to let them shine. Such is cooperative effort.
DeleteThis is an inviting spot to see. I feel at home.
ReplyDeleteHome is where you are and I am. Heart is where home is. Your kind heart is welcome here.
DeleteA lovely patio. I love the lines....."accidental lives scattered on earth..."
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tom. Until something more focused comes along, accidental will have to do.
DeleteMerry Christmas to you and yours. :)
ReplyDeleteMy dear Light, I return your generous greeting with interest. May your new year be wonderful.
DeleteGreetings, it is very nice to meet you Geo! The patio is really beautiful! I am enjoying reading through many of your blog posts. Nice blog!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Most kind.
