What to do when
Half the galaxy gets
Snagged in your olive tree:
Relax, examine peripheries
For what tangles let
Fall and roll free.
It's small, very very
Like a glowing berry
Escaped from its spoon.
Pick it up, it is the moon.
Throw it way up high.
The stars will chase it
Up, up into the sky.
This is a marvelous way to deal with life's problems. Take a look and decide what will work itself out. Then you can find a way to unravel the big problems beginning with grabbing the ends and untying them a little at a time. Then you can appreciate the glowing berry of your labors.
ReplyDeleteYes! Figuratively, literally, photographically, it is a matter of perspective.
DeleteI absolutely love this perspective! Thank you so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure, Linda. And thank you.
DeleteLove how you're like holding the moon in your fingers. :) I sometimes do that too.
ReplyDeleteI understand. The novelty never wears off, and sometimes you can really feel the little moon there.
DeleteI love the moon ...
ReplyDeleteAwesome poem Geo
Thanks Margie. With all the work we must do on earth, we deserve a pretty moon.
