[Normavid of a chippering chorus --crank up volume]

Sudden colonies in
Low branches--
Bushtits, finches--
Full of discussion,
Oration, midwinter
Debate 'til late
Afternoon; each
Chirp opening new
Warbles ahead
Of a rising moon.

  2. That is truly one of the loveliest sounds to hear. Our winter birds are not as melodious. Crows and Cardinals really can't sing.

  3. I love the birds all winter, and especially the little chickadees who make their cheeky presence known all summer, too.

  4. Is it just me, or does the sound of the birds chirping brings instant joy to the one who hears it?

  8. Perhaps a meeting of the local bird council? I had no sound come through but can imagine how wonderful it all sounded. Loved the poem.
