This morning, she gathered
Garden oddments and plugged
A glue-gun in outside, resulting
In a gift for her mother.
She calls it "Fancy Pumpkin".
I call it "Autumn Assemblage".
I don't know, sometimes it's
Almost like we're two different people.
You are both wrong!! It is "Bursting Autumn"! Or something...or Cinderella Pumpkin enclosed in Tile...
ReplyDeleteI like "Bursting Autumn"! but can't remember any glue-guns in Cinderella. Won't rule it out though.
DeleteAll us women have glue guns. It helps us keep things together.
ReplyDeleteWhatever you name it, Geo, it is very pretty and Norma's mom will love it.
Delivered this afternoon, Arleen. Norma's Mom was delighted. I'm told glue-guns don't bother bromeliads, not sure about the succulents, but when a lifelong gardener gets to that age where she can't get out, I'm sure I'll get a detailed report.
DeleteMy name for it would be Erupting Pumpkin. What ever it is called it is decidedly creative. A very thoughtful gift for a mother.
ReplyDeleteGood title! Norma's maman had us set it on the lazy susan on the dining table. A place of honor!
DeleteDear Geo,
ReplyDeleteI would call it 'Beautiful Ode to Autum, Modo minore".
PS: I have no glue gun. never had one. Query: Who am I, Arleen?
I like it! And "...Modo minore" (Oh my poor Italian! --"done in little"?) a touch of class!
DeleteIt can be both. A special gift to mom as a way of welcoming in the cooler moths.
ReplyDeleteAn elegant and effective solution! Thanks.
DeleteQue hermosa composición!!
ReplyDeleteFelicitaciones
Con cariño Victoria
Gracias, Victoria. Feliz autumn (otoño?) para usted!
