Thank you Arleen! I'm just glad to have got this far with good memories intact. They remind us to make more good memories --that we're still in the game.
Jon, Thanks! I sure need a compliment today. Norma's sick! We got our flu shot but something hit her last night and today. She feels awful and I've had to be caring and attentive, which I'm not used to!
I understand your love of that oak tree although i am partial to pine. Some of my happiest moments were spent perched at the very top of a pine tree in our yard.
I love the picture, Geo and the poems. Sitting in a tree, just you and she, how wonderful the memories are of the times that used to be.

DeleteEver the romantic, Geo.! More! More from the past that I, too, still remember so well!
ReplyDeleteOh Willie, thanks for being there, back then, up here now! We had no idea how big a road-trip it was going to be.
DeleteLove the poem and the photo. "Gnarled in mid-shrug" is fantastic.

ReplyDeleteMost kind Cassandra. Some poems take forever to write; this one only 45 years. I'm getting faster!
DeleteSunlit inch in time...excellent.
ReplyDeleteI think we have a photo similar to yours.
Hang onto those photos; they're charged with hope!
DeleteWhat beautiful sentiments....wonderful memories.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mimsie, they're permanent.
DeleteI love that the oak 'accepted your climb'; I love everything about this poem and the picture! Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteKind Michelle, I remember the world seemed a lot more comfortable back then --felt good to be pretty much anywhere.
