On Nine-Pound Iron Balls

[Norma photo]
Few subjects receive less
Coverage in garden journals
Than cannonballs found in
Violet beds.

Phonetically, they are similar
To violence, which produces
Cannonballs while violets
Seldom do.

I give them to Norma, who
Paints them yellow and
Returns them to their
Little nests.

Whether this is a test,
Transformation or task
Eternal, it ought to be in
A journal.

  1. Heehee! This came at just the right time after Day of the Dead, which is also, in my view, a celebration of death and rebirth, male and female, yin and yang, etc.! Thanks, both of you!

  2. I have to reveal that it is fabulous to know that somebody outlined this as I had tribulations finding the matching informations in another place. Your subject was the original place that gave me the info . Thanks for using such a lot of force into this.

In conclusion , permit me thank you for your tolerance with my English as (I'm certain you have figured this at this moment ,), English is not my primary tongue therefore I am using Google Translate to build out how to compose what I truly want to tell.

  3. I don't know, maybe the iron balls are just old shot-puts. What then?

  4. C'mon, Geo. Nothing is just nothing! Viz:
    'The Red Wheelbarrow'
    William Carlos Williams
    so much depends
    upon
    a red wheel
    barrow
    glazed with rain
    water
    beside the white
    chickens.

(pardon my not respecting his spaces properly)

  5. Or, as Anonymous wrote --I suspect originally in Russian, judging by syntax: "I have to reveal
    that it is
    fabulous..."
