Inflorescence

Down this lane
Naved in alders
I pass gardens:
Menorah in
Corymb; umbel,
Decision a moment
From the stem;
Racemose, rhythm--
This lane, a
Thing thinking
In things, while
I think in
Thoughts of things
But mostly listen.

  1. Coming as it did, a day before my latest colonoscopy, the imagery hauntingly reminds me of the interior bodyscape that I saw before I passed under the anesthesia: the body IS the temple of the holy spirit, as your timely poem and my timely procedure have shown! Thank you, Geo.!
