Irreducible

Here raindrops on
Purple iris fall,
Lit in clouds climbing
Our valley wall,
Refract a world,
An endless hour
From an idly
Unfolding flower.

  6. A very lovely poem, Geo. - I love especially "lit in clouds climbing".
And you awake the very smell of irises in my mind - I had some in my garden, and I had forgotten their perfume till now. Thank you!

    1. Irises are such friendly-looking plants. I was pretty sure your garden would include them.
