Something to do with drought, With heat, she goes out and Digs a Carmen Miranda beet Dancing under bees -- her Husband, half Portuguese, Keeps time with his feet.
In the heat it is a miracle Carmen was not a roasted beet. I'd offer, too, that in such attire, a beet salad should henceforth be considered Mirandized.
I love beets, Geo! Soon the root veggies, including beets, will be in abundance at the supermarkets and at great prices! I love the Autumn for the crisp and cool air, the changing colours of the leaves, the root vegetables, the apples that we can do so much with! Lovely post!
How cute is that? I remember Carmen Miranda very well and that is a good representation of her. Seeing that thermometer reminds me our summer is not far off....horrible thought!!
That is the best picture I have seen in a long time. Carmen Miranda Beet is sure to be a hit.
ReplyDeleteOh, that is too clever by far. I love beets.
ReplyDeleteI remember those movies! Those hats!

It's obvious that the heat is driving everyone delightfully and creatively crazy. I love it!

I've heard beet is really healthy and often juiced. :)
