Portable

Not so much memory
Or destination or
Station stagnant
In a poem --what
Is home but finding
Our place in
The journey?
Moved among moving
Stars, a trajectory,
We become.

  2. I really enjoyed this poem, Geo.
Do you take the train often?
It's been a long time since I have been on a train but used to enjoy it ...

    I like Norma's photo
    Smiles ...

    1. Kind Margie, I take the train into cities I dread trying to park in (SF), but also when I'd rather enjoy the scenery, the enigmas out the window and a cup of coffee instead of fighting traffic.

    1. Most kind. It's something about the rhythm of the rails and beer and chips in the dining car that make even going home exciting.

    1. Thanks, Arleen. I've always felt trains have a special, perhaps magical, connection to the universe.

  7. Do you know Geo. I can't recall the last time I had a train ride, or a bus ride for that matter. Just tool old which I guess is sad and yet I now know where I belong in this life....mostly at home with the man I love and who loves me. Probably my journey's end but I wouldn't have it any other way and thank you for a delightful poem containing so much insight into life.

    1. Mimsie, so long as your wit, humor and imagination remain stable and reliable as they are, your trainride is underway. There is a strength in you and I'm not the only one who recognizes it.
