Moontree

There is a moontree on
Our property that only
Grows one, then it's done,
According to need-- the
Rest  goes  to  seed.
You see, when the moon
Wears out --but hasn't
Yet-- one is all one gets.
We will not go without.

  1. One is all you need. I have not decided whether the picture is serene or spooky. Perhaps a bit of both.

  2. The moon is always ripe and resists being picked.

    1. I know, Jon. You need a really tall ladder. But the wonder of it is, when you pluck it from the branch it rises into orbit on its own.

    1. Who knows what effect the moon had on people around the world even before we knew the world was round? Evocative indeed!

  4. We all need a moon tree Geo. so the moon can cast its gentle light over us. That precious moon controls so much of what happens in our lives and on this earth of ours.
