Up

This summer,
Morning glory
Got up a privet
To give it
Color where only
Green was.
I don't always approve
Of what the garden
Does, but I like this.

  3. Sometimes one plant will lend beauty to another and so it should be. Lovely photo. Morning glory is beautiful.

  4. Morning Glories always make me smile. What is delightful about them is that you don't even have to plant them as they just pop up from a traveling seed.

  5. Thinking of you when I heard about the earthquake in Napa. I hope everyone and everything around you is OK.

    1. Thanks, Arleen. Everybody's ok. Quake was just a slight rattle where I am. Friends and family in Napa, Sonoma & SF have phoned in whole.

  7. Dear Geo.,
morning glories are so lovely - tender shimmering blue, opening up to the sunshine - and beneath the tenderness it is very tough, fighting to stand its ground, at any cost. I love it when plants climb into trees - thus a gage in my (former) garden suddenly is foaming white, when Rambling Rector flowers, and an apple tree puts on a cloak of red and yellow when the Parthenocissus sings in autumn.
And privet can use an adornment of beautiful blue!

  8. Thank you Geo for this photo of these pretty morning glories. Such simple flowers, but they bring such joy and great promise with each sunrise.

  9. A rampant morning glory is not as bad other options. I would take the green with the flower.
