Fleurs

On a bunny-gnawed old box
She lashed a lattice of wands.
A yellow word on a makeshift
Shelf will now define itself.

  1. How do you manage to do this exquisite weaving or words? 23 words, so carefully chosen and placed. Marvelous.

    1. Most kind! Process is characterized by simplification. Sometimes it takes minutes, sometimes years. Once or twice it consumed half a century. Pruning.

  2. I would like to second what Susan said above. Your way with words is always quite enchanting.

  4. Dear Geo.,
A lattice of wands that will transform the seedlings into a sky of blue, or turn them into a chorus that praises morning-glory. Beautiful poem!
