I Have Been Thinking Of Colors
In a midwinter web
Raphiolepis snags some
Morning gray and holds it
Where day may take it,
Measured out atom by atom
Into other seasons-- into
Beans, berries, sea-green pattypan--
Past and future gardens.
I do not know where
This web began.
With the seed of hope, Geo.
ReplyDeleteArleen, yes, remarkable --a quality that transcends the arrow of time.
DeleteI am a gardener, Geo, and hope is my bible.
Delete'Tis the web of life perhaps?
ReplyDeleteNo safe disagreeing with that, so YES!
DeleteI do love this!
ReplyDeleteHappy Gardening, Geo
Thank you Margie. Happiness to you, too!
DeleteNice poem. Sounds like a poor confused lost soul.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lady Lilith. I like to think life began as a coordinated concert from all points in the universe, but I wouldn't rule out confused lost soul.
DeleteI feel all springlike now! Time I took a walk along my own garden path......
ReplyDelete...or where it will end.
