She Asks Me Such
She asks me such
Odd questions,
Just to see if
I am listening.
To be sure, there
Are curious features
In all inquiry
Assembled and traded
Where wisdom begins --
Which do not include
Answers-- that cannot
Be dismissed.
She asks me such
Odd questions
That I married her.
This poem is wonderful. Thanks for sharing how you and your wife got together.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Michelle. I'd like to say, after 42+ years, that I understand her better, but alas!
ReplyDeleteI liked this. Wanted to keep reading after the first couple of lines
ReplyDeleteJenny, merci!
