Will

[photo by Norma of Willie and Geo. steering '71 VW in and out of future]

Take Antaeus and the
Eastbound bearing race:
Souls rolling beween poles
Slip magnetic journals,
Fly away, cling to magic
In nanotubes or catch
On some arrangement of
Rock.
Prehistory, future,
Names given infants by
Infants --fires deep in the
Jewel.
Silence? Sound?
Better an aeolian harp
Than fool who has
The king's ear.
There are no kings here,
Only torchlights seen
Across dark fields
By beings on business
Of their own.
All illusion is alone.
Could that include this question?
I must limit myself to
What is humanly possible,
But
Will could answer this.

  1. I really like this bit:

    Silence? Sound?
    Better an aeolian harp
    Than fool who has
    The king's ear.
    There are no kings here,
    Only torchlights seen
    Across dark fields
    By beings on business
    Of their own.

    Could that include this question?

I can see myself quoting it on a CD I've got planned.

  2. As presumably the Will of my former student Geo.'s poem, I must protest that showcase jase left out the best part:

    I must limit myself to
    What is humanly possible,
    But
    Will could answer this.

  3. :)

Only because Will makes me think of my brother and he doesn't share my interest in the aeolian harp.

    Hear some here:

  5. Collaboration is certainly a logical next step after 40 years of marraige and I would be proud to have such an idea occur to me, but mainly, she knows how to operate the camera and I don't. Also, click onto Showcase Jase's sig. pic and see what he's got up to these past couple years. Amazing stuff!
